Dr. Gallo has done a lot of writing about energy psychology over the past several years. Besides a number of journal articles and book chapters, he’s published 8 books, including Energy Psychology (CRC Press 1999, 2005), Energy Diagnostic and Treatment Methods (WW Norton 2000), The Neurophysics of Human Behavior (Furman & Gallo, CRC Press 2000), Energy Tapping (Gallo & Vincenzi, New Harbinger 2000, 2008), Energy Psychology in Psychotherapy: A Comprehensive Source Book (WW Norton 2002), and Energy Tapping for Trauma (New Harbinger 2007).  He’s also self published a number of manuals on Energy Psychology, Energy Diagnostic and Treatment Methods (EDxTM), Energy Consciousness Therapy (ECT), the Identity Method (IM), Mindful Energy Psychology, Couples Work, and Managing Chronic Pain.  You can read about these books and manuals at his website; www.energypsych.com/.

Over the years he has studied and practiced many approaches to therapy, including client centered therapy, gestalt therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, Ericksonian hypnosis and therapy, contextual therapy, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), thought field therapy (TFT), and behavioral kinesiology (BK). He also founded a causal diagnostic-therapeutic approach, Energy Diagnostic and Treatment Methods (EDxTM), also called Advanced Energy Psychology (AEP), and has been offering certification training in this approach since 1997. Since that time many professionals have been certified in AEP/EDxTM, and several are also offering training in this approach. In addition to writing and training professionals, he maintains a clinical practice in Hermitage, PA--Gallo & Associates--which offers services to adults, adolescents, and children. He is also on staff at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) at Horizon, and offers consultation to the Children's Aid Society of Mercer County, and NorthStar Behavioral Health Services.

Fred and Carolyn in beautiful New Wilmington, PA--Amish country. Their home is situated on 10.5 acres with horse barn, run-in, pasture, pond, and guest house. While they’ve had many horses over the years, now they have only one (Pepper), as well as two cats (Ellie and Lucy), and who knows how many fish and turtles in the pond (not sure of their names), plenty of "visiting" Canada geese, mallards, cranes, barn swallows, deer, squirrels, rabbits, and chipmunks (don't know their official names either). Most importantly, there is the privilege of three wonderful and cherished daughters (Aimee, Amy, and Pamela), their loving husbands/partners (Steve, Michael, and Brandon), granddaughter (Hanna), three grandsons (Aidan, Michael, and Ryan), and a forth grandson on the way (???). Like everyone, they have their share of trials and tribulations, yet life is good.
